BYL Programs

Barrington Youth Lacrosse offers the following programs for new and experienced players Boys & Girls Grades 1st - 8th.

Boys Spring Program

2025 Boys Spring Season Registration Is Not Open Yet!

 

The Spring Season is open to boys in grades 1st-8th in the Barrington community and surrounding areas. Our Spring recreational season is a great opportunity for players to meet new friends and explore the sport of lacrosse. With an emphasis on fun and development, we welcome all experience and skill levels from new players to advanced. Team options are based on grade level so please register according to current grade.

PLEASE NOTE

  • All players in the boys program are required to have an active US Lacrosse Membership. Get your US Lax Membership HERE .​

  • Players need a full set of lacrosse equipment to participate including a helmet, chest pad, elbow pads, gloves and mouthguard. Rental equipment available - Learn More

  • Players are also required to purchase the required BYL uniform package, if you do not already own one. 

  • All players must have their own stick at all practices and games, regardless of desired position. A strong emphasis on foundational stick skills is a major component of the BYL Program.

  • Practices begin indoors in March and move outside with games in April and May.

Girls Spring Program

The Spring Season is open to girls in grades 1st-8th in the Barrington community and surrounding areas. Our Spring recreational season is a great opportunity for players to meet new friends and explore the sport of lacrosse. With an emphasis on fun and development, we welcome all experience and skill levels from new players to advanced. Team options are based on grade level so please register according to current grade.

BOYS WINTER BOX Program

2024-2025 Boys Winter Box Registration Is Not Open Yet!

 

The Winter Box Program is open to boys in grades 3/4 5/6 7/8 and High School in the Barrington community and surrounding areas. Our Winter Box Program is a competitive box  lacrosse program designed to further develop lacrosse players, while learning the fundamentals and game concepts of box lacrosse. 

  • Skill Assessment Required.  Prospective players must successfully complete a lacrosse skills challenge in order to be play on a Stampede Lacrosse Team. 

  • Girls in 3rd-8th grade are welcome to participate in the Boys box program.

  • Players need a full set of lacrosse equipment to participate including a helmet(box helmet preferred), shoulder pad(not chest pad), rib pad, elbow pads, gloves and mouthguard. Rental equipment available - Learn More

  • Stampede Players must commit to the entire Winter season including:

    • 1-2x practice or scrimmages per week (Nov-Jan)

    • 2 Tournaments

      • 2024-2025 Tentative Tournaments​

        • Border Wars Box Tournament : 12/14/24 & 12/15/24 (Cincinnati, OH)

        • Good Lands Box Lacrosse Tournament : Jan 25-26th (Milwaukee, WI)

STAMPEDE

SPRING/SUMMER DEVELOPMENT TEAMS

2025 Spring/Summer Development  Team Registration Is Not Open Yet!

 

The Stampede Spring/Summer Development Team is open to boys and girls in grades 3/4 5/6 7/8 in the Barrington community and surrounding areas. Our Stampede Spring/Summer Development Team is a competitive field lacrosse program designed to spark further development of experienced lacrosse players with an emphasis on team concepts, positional training and advanced skill work.
